Student Services
At EthicWorks Immigration Services, we guide students through every stage of their Canadian journey from choosing the right program to extending their study permit, transitioning to work, and planning for Permanent Residency.

OFF-SHORE STUDENTS
(Applying for a Study Permit from Outside Canada)
If you are planning to begin your education in Canada, the first step is securing admission to a Designated Learning Institution (DLI). Once admitted, your study permit application must clearly demonstrate that you are a genuine student with sufficient financial support and a clear academic purpose.

ON-SHORE STUDENTS
(Already Studying in Canada)
If you are already in Canada and your study permit will expire before you complete your program, you must apply for a study permit extension to maintain legal status. An extension application must be submitted before your current permit expires. If applied on time, you benefit from maintained status, which allows you to continue studying while awaiting a decision.
DLI CHANGE
(Designated Learning Institution)
If you are already studying in Canada and wish to change your college or university, you must update your Designated Learning Institution (DLI) information with the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to remain compliant with your study permit conditions.
